TOP Coastal Towns to Live In

Since I was a kid, I have been in love with the ocean.  Something about the sound of the waves was soothing and I loved the feel of the sea on my legs.  I was a super lucky girl.  My grandparents up and moved to Hawaii when I was 5 and I started school barefoot in Kailua.  It was such a rude awakening to come back to California and have to wear shoes!

It was in my childhood ‘dream board’ to get back to the ocean, and I so blessed to live in Hillsboro Shores and manage luxury oceanfront vacation rentals and sell beach houses and beach area properties – there is nothing like the beach.

The May 2016 edition of Coastal Living announced the top 10 Coastal Towns in America . . . Here they are:

I am guessing that Pompano Beach may make the list next year.  The Community Redevelopment Board has made wonderful improvements to our coastal town – it was so wonderful to enjoy the opening of the new Pier Parking Lot tonight which includes a concert stage.  There was great music and food.

And there is a great little subdivision of Pompano Beach called Hillsboro Shores – this is one of my favorite parts of Pompano Beach.

Population 99,845

Average High Temp July 89; Average Low Temp Jan 59

Average # Sunny Days 242

Here are a few photos from the Pier Parking Lot Celebration.
